Marcus Weeks is a frequent contributor to encyclopedias and reference books, as well as a consultant for several titles by British publisher Dorling Kindersley. He is the author of several books, such as Selig in Philosophy and The Psychology Book.

He has a vast list of talents and interests. When not writing, he is a music teacher, teaches English to foreigners, runs an art gallery, tunes and restores pianos, is a music editor, arranger, composer, among many other things. He lives in Hastings, England.
