Marcus Braybrooke is an Anglican priest, an interfaith activist and author. He is Joint President of the World Congress of Faiths, Co-Founder of the Three Faiths Forum and a Peace Councillor

Beacons of Light is his most recent book. It describes the life and teaching of one hundred holy people who have shaped the spiritual history of the world. He includes members of many religions and countries: some well-known, such as Zoroaster, the Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, and Rumi: others such as Rabia, Julian of Norwich, Ba’al Shem Tov or Tulsidas deserve to be better known. He shows how mystics come together in emphasising the love of God and in calling for peace, an end to poverty and reverence for the natural world. This is an inspiring book and should be in every school and college library.
