Grace Lee is a freelance writer, artist and poet, and has been writing since she was a child. In 1999 she won third prize in the ‘Claude Morris Original Bush Poetry’ competition, for her poem called ‘Possum’s Lament.’ This poem was published in the Cairns Tropical Writers book ‘Category Five 2011,’ of which she was a member at the time. Some of her articles and stories were published in magazines, and online. A ghost story called ‘The Haunting,’ was accepted by the SBS television in 2001, but as yet no script has been created for it. In the same year, the ‘Living Now’ magazine published one of her articles called ‘Butterfly Thoughts’. Over several years, two other stories were published on the ‘Pygmy Possum’ website. She also won a prize in the ‘Groovy Grandmas’ competition, with her story called; ‘The Land of Our Dreams.’ The first two pages of the Peta books were written around 2006. However, Grace realised there was more to say, and the books soon become a series of children’s adventure stories. Now as a series there is ‘Peta the Magical Cat’ ‘The Disappearing Chilltoes’ and ‘Roary’s Lost Magic’ Grace is seventy four years old, but has no thoughts of retiring, especially since she has discovered the wonderful world of writing books. series. Since writing this bio Grace has added to her collection. There is the Toby Bear series ‘Toby Bears Travels’ ‘Lost in Kings Park’ and ‘Toby Bear’s Amazing Adventures’. Grace is also an artist and has drawn all the pictures in the Toby Bear’s books. There are some wonderful stories that Grace originally put on the ABC open website site. Because of changes to the site, she put the stories into a book called ‘500 Words’. A supernatural book Called ‘Night Visions’ is partly fiction but most of it is true. The last book is a story about her life and explains the problems she had as a child in communication.
